Undergraduate Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission into an undergraduate (BA/BSc) degree program at Queen’s College, applicants must meet the following requirements:
General Requirements
- Completion of high school education or an equivalent qualification.
- Ethiopian applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- National University Entrance Examination cut-off mark as set by the Ministry of Education (MoE) for the respective academic year.
- If the applicant completed high school under the previous system:
- ESLCE GPA of 2.0 or higher and a 12+2 diploma from a recognized junior college.
- Holders of a degree from a recognized university.
- 10+3 or Level 4 certificate from a recognized institution, along with a pass in the National COC Examination for TVET graduates.
Application Submission Requirements
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Completed Application for Admission Form.
- Non-refundable application fee of 200 ETB.
- Official transcripts, equivalency certificate, or attestation of high school completion or equivalent education.
- For transfer students: Official transcripts from each post-secondary institution attended.
- One passport-size photograph.
- Copy of a valid identification document (passport, national ID, or social security card, if applicable).
Additional Notes:
- Some programs may have additional admission requirements based on the field of study.
- Admission applications are evaluated only after all required documents are received.
- Temporary acceptance may be granted to students who provide evidence of qualification but have not yet submitted official documents.
- All submitted documents become the property of the university and will not be returned, so applicants should keep copies for their records.
Undergraduate Graduation Requirements
To graduate with a BA or BSc degree from Queen’s College, students must meet the following academic requirements:
- Minimum Credit Hours: Students must complete a minimum of 128 credit hours (updated requirement).
- Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA):
- Overall GPA of at least 2.00
- Major (core courses) GPA of at least 2.00
- No failing grades:
- The student must have no ‘F’, ‘NG’, or ‘I’ grades in any course at the time of graduation.
- Exit Exam Requirement:
- Students must pass the Ministry of Education (MoE) exit examination as per national graduation standards.
