Queen’s College offers Level 1-4 TVET programs in the following fields:
- Information Technology (Level 1-4)
- Accounting (Level 1-4)
- Secretarial Science (Level 1-4)
- Human Resource Management (Level 1-4)
- Purchasing (Level 1-4)
- Legal Services (Level 1-4)
TVET Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission into a TVET program at Queen’s College, applicants must meet the following criteria:
General Requirements
- Completion of Grade 10 or Grade 12 under the Ethiopian education system.
- Admission level is determined based on the applicant’s educational background:
- Level 1: Completion of Grade 10
- Level 2-4: Completion of Grade 12 or prior TVET certification at a lower level.
Application Submission Requirements
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Completed TVET Application Form.
- Non-refundable application fee (as per the college’s current policy).
- Official transcript or equivalent academic certificate (e.g., Ethiopian General Leaving Certificate Examination for Grade 10 or Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Examination for Grade 12).
- One passport-size photograph.
- Copy of a valid identification document (passport, national ID, or social security card, if applicable).
Admission Requirements for Foreign Students
Foreign students must meet the following criteria to be admitted into TVET programs at Queen’s College:
- Provide recognized academic certificates equivalent to the Ethiopian school-leaving certificate (General Certificate of Education or equivalent).
- Obtain equivalency approval from the Ethiopian Higher Education Department (if necessary).
- Provide a valid student visa and financial guarantee.
- Submit a health certificate.
- Be proficient in English as per Queen’s College language requirements.
- Cover their living expenses.
TVET Graduation Requirements
To complete a TVET program at Queen’s College, students must fulfill the following requirements:
- Successful Completion of All Course Modules
- Pass all required competency-based training modules.
- Minimum Competency Standards
- Achieve a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00.
- No failing grades (‘F’, ‘NG’, or ‘I’) in any course.
- Passing the Holistic COC (Certificate of Competency) Examination
- As per the Ethiopian TVET system, students must pass the national COC examination to be certified at their respective levels (Level 1-4).
- The holistic COC exam assesses both theoretical and practical competency in the chosen field.
- Industry Attachment / Internship Completion
- Students must complete the mandatory industrial internship in their respective fields as part of the competency-based training system.
